Default Faulty Tire Pressure Sensor

My sensor has failed in my '96. Does anyone have any advice, and a guess at how much it will cost to fix this?

Thanks.

How do you know the sensor is bad? If it is the sensor on the wheels, just replace it. They don't sell them new anymore, so you will need to find a used one. A forum member is selling them for $175 in the parts section.

Honestly, if it's broken, it's not worth fixing. Just remove the "Service LTPWS" light from the DIC and let it go. It's not worth spending hundreds to fix (IMHO.) You should be checking your tire pressures with a gauge anyways, so you should know if one tire is low. It was a nifty option when it was new, but it's just a matter of time before it fails.

I have the correct parts for your 96. GM no longer makes them.
feel free to contact me via pm or email.

Don't tell him that, I've got a RR sensor for a 94-96 that I'd love to unload!

Sorry. But you're going to have to battle with the poster above you now.

Thanks to all. I have been sick and not on the forum. It sounds like this is not too big of a deal.
