Default Brake light on when accelerating

My brake light comes on when I accelerate quickly from a stop. I don't recall this happening at higher speeds when accelerating quickly. It never feels as if the car is struggling so I don't think the brake is actually engaged. Any one have ideas as to what the cause may be and should I be concerned? Car is a '94 A4 LT1.

Check the brake fluid level, as you accelerate the sensor may be getting unsubmerged.

mabey the ASR is kicking in. Try it with ASR off.

The later C4 fluid level switch is very sensitive. Even being a 3/16" too low can turn the brake light on. Top off the fluid to the top of the "full" line in the reservoir and see if that makes a difference. You may only add an ounce, but it's worth trying.

My 92 did this on track days where I would brake hard going into a turn and accelerate hard on the exit. I would get both the Service ABS warning light and the Service ASR warning light. I added about 1.5 oz of brake fluid to the re4servoir and the lights stayed out.

If ASR goes active with it turned on (default), there should be an yellow light on the DIC that says "ASR Active" whenever the ARS kicks in. With ASR turned off, the light won't appear.

I recently started having this problem! The red "BRAKE" light comes on in the cluster and Im getting "Check ASR and ABS" lights under a quick acceleration on the display untill I restart the car. Havent checked codes yet? I found this old post in a search hoping to get some sugestions.

After checking more posts it looks like my brake fluid is low. Which makes sense because Im needing front pads soon.
