I hope the FIs are the same stock size, do not want to mess with the ECM/PCM at this point.
get the part number and cross check w/the mfg. for #rating. While you're looking at it, make sure all of them have the same # that would answer these questions at least. Sooner or later at this rate of replacing parts the "wrench" may get lucky (I do hope so for your sake) HOWEVER, it sounds like you may have to go down there and rescue this car.
91sTeal: after reading your posts concernind the service tech, I am very pleased to do my own car/engine work. If I screw something up, I just go to a mirror and give the old boy in the glass a good **** chewing
Picked it up yesterday, and it is running really nice. The car does not idle bad and is real smooth on acceleration. It was the FIs, he replaced with 26lbs ones. I am so glad it is over time to drive her again
Tony: I recommend that you verify your mechanic installed 26 lb hr fuel injectors in your car! He should have installed 22 or perhaps 24 pounders. If he did install 26 pounders in your car (and you do not have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator), you will probably have problems passing emissions testing. Your car will be running "rich" due to too much fuel being injected into the cylinders. Do you know anyone with a scan tool to check the BLM values? Sorry for the bad news on this as I know you have BEEN through hell with the FIs in your car.
