Hi, I followed the diagnostic procedure in the shop manual and it led me to the conclusion that the burn off module requires replacement. Does anyone have any experience with this and is this process acurate or in other words highly reliable (ie replace the module)?
Thanks
sorry to but in on your thread, but is a code 33 a M.A.P problem please?
i have had a code 33 for some time now and i replaced the m.a.p and still have the same problem, code 33.
i saw you mentioned the burn off module?
where is this located and what is its job please of doing ?
you will probably get someone more experienced than myself responding, however, I will take a stab at it. My car is an 85, which contains a MAF sensor and a burn-off relay or module. 86 to 89 was basically the same except the burn-off function is in the ECM and the relays are in the engine compartement roughly on the firewall behind the battery (above). I believe from 90 on in the C4's the system was changed to a MAP sensor. Probably the same issue. I used the factory shop manual to diagnose this, these are great!. Recommend you locate a manual or someone with it.
