My 94 going NUTS!!! HELP
Yesterday, I went to visit my lady friend about 50 miles from here. Car ran fine until I pulled up to stop light about 3 blocks from her house. When I took off the car would not shift until I ran the rpm up pretty high. That was the begining. When we went out Vette would run fine for 5 minutes then all of the sudden I would have to reav up rpm to get it to shift. Overdrive shifted in at around 80mph. Then the next day when driving home, I am going down I road around 70 mph all at once my trans started down shifting all the way to 2nd then shift out again then down shift CRAZY yes. I stopped turned it off for 10 minutes and when I started back up I drove the rest of the way home everything shifting OK. I let it set for about an hour got back in and went to store. Would not shift without running rpm up to high. All of this and the only light I have on is ASR service soon. I can turn ASR off or on makes no difference CAn anyone help.

Im not sure but I think you have a shift solenoid going bad,It puts your tranny in safe mode to limp you home in second gear.If so its an internal tranny part.
Just guessing though.
