Default Still no Flasher

Please forgive my second post on the same subject but I can't for the life of me find the turn signal flasher in my '88. I'm reasonably proficient mechanically and removed what I believe is the passenger plastic hush panel and today I removed the center dash bezel around the radio and still can't seem to find it. Unless the parts store sold me the wrong thing and I'm looking for a shape and size flasher that is incorrect. What I got is the silver round canister about the size of a large spool of thread.

My last post generated some activity and responses, which I appreciate it, but I still can't locate it.

I would appreciate any specifics or pictures anyone can share

Thanks as always

Bob

A FSM is a great tool to have! Located to the left of the fuse panel. Remove the passenger side hush panel and get a flashlight and start digging.

I have a 88 convertible and I had the same problem. Remove the hush panel from the driver's side. That's the panel down by the brake pedal. It has a light on it. I think there is 4 screws. My flasher fell down as soon as I removed the panel. It is square and just to the right of the steering column.
