I got my 92 A4 tuned by Alvin. Right away, it took over a tenth off my quarter mile time.
After my heads and cam with a bad tune the car ran 13.90's at 101mph. The next week with no other changes other than Alvin's tune, the car went 12.79 at 111.94 mph and yes, the weather was the same.
he will likely do some fueling changes as well. the factory tuning is a bit fat down low, and a little hot (lean) up top. he tunes the 2 tables for better overall power and smoother throttle response throughout the rpm range.
Is he actually changing the o2 swing points to try and get it to run closer to a set AFR he's verified with a wideband? Or just chasing BLM ?
The more I tune (going on 8 years now), the more I feel closed loop is purely useless.
The factory tunes were soo far off it's not even funny. I spent a few hours on my buddy's GTA 2 years ago and got the thing into the high 13s from like a 14.4.
