"The CKP sensor is an electronic device that senses four lugs on the CKP sensor reluctor ring. The sensor provides a signal directly to the PCM in order to process misfiring diagnostics. The CKP sensor has an O-ring seal to protect the sensor from outside oil contamination, and to position the sensor in the center of the engine front cover bore."
