Well, I have a mimiram manifold with the BBK 58mm throttle body and the piece that gets bolted up to the throttle body that the coolant passes through will not fit because of the new thermostat housing. So in short I need to grind off the coolant ports or get a differant plate right? Also, do I need to keep the sensor plugged in? Working on the final details can be a real pain in the rear at the end of such a long project.
Don't know what yr,,, definately helpful when requesting info, but on my 87, i just the the TB bypass, cut the ports off, got some chrome flat screws and inserts into the hold, used some JB weld to seal the inside, then new gasket & right stuff seal and job done... clean and easy to do.

Yes and yes. The mini sits a little lower than the stock TPI, and there isn't enough clearance for the coolant passages below the TB. If you haven't already done so, go to tpis.com and download the instructions for the mini and their throttle bodies. It will explain what you need to do. (you'll end up with what agent86 shows)
