C4 Fireball Video
The fenderwell for the rear tire is destroyed, I don't have a new one yet. The rear bumper is char-grilled, I've been sanding it down for repainting but it's merely cosmetic, so I'm not concerned.
The suspension looks ok, I replaced a few bushings just in case they were compromised and re-greased all of the heim joints assuming the grease was melted out of them. Everything seems tight and safe.
I'm taking her to the track tomorrow for some slow runs to see if I missed anything. I'll post some pics of the bumper on Sunday when I have time to show the damage...
Aside from cosmetically, I got off very easy. This could have been much worse.
Oh, and the fire system is on it's way. 10 lb bottle.

'maintenance' (recommended annually for portable extinguishers)
and hydrostatic testing (5 or 12 year intervals according to the type of
extinguisher.)
Also, if a FE is discharged even slightly, it should be taken out of service
and recharged.
Several useful comments were made about fire and extinquishers
in this thread - After the engine fire
Note that one extinguisher didn't work in that incident. Check the
gauge for indicated pressure. Periodically pull dry chemical extinguishers
out of their mounts, turn them around/upside down and tap them in
an effort to loosen chemical that has packed or caked inside due to
vibration.
.
Most people don't do this type of stuff until after a bad experience. I guess I'm no different.
