1988 Vette Won't Start
I was shocked to discover yesterday when I came out of work that my 88 corvette would not start. The engine sounds just like it always does when I turn the key, but it just won't catch. I checked a distributor wire, and felt no spark. I replaced the distributor, wires, and spark plugs within the last year.
I don't think it is a fuel issue because I tried to start the car while spraying some starter fluid in the throttle body to see if it at least ran as long as it was getting some fuel.
I bought and replaced the ignition coil last night, but the car still won't start.
Any suggestions would be very helpful.
Thanks

If you ain't got a spark, it's more than likely the ignition module.
It needs to be put in with dielectric grease, more than important or it won't last very long, but not too much either. A lot is not always better!

I replaced the ignition module it seems to have made no difference, I still get no spark.
Could it be something with an ignition relay? If so, where is that relay located.
thanks

I ended up having the car towed to a shop because I was getting intimidated by the electrical stuff and didn't want to blow money on changing a bunch of part without result. The car works now! They changed the magnetic pickup lx320. Just thought I'd inform you of the result.
Unfortunately I had to pay a mechanic to change a $30 part for quite a bit more.
