chamber size???
sorry did a search and could not find anything on chamber size. Can someone please tell me what is the stock (OEM) combustion chamber size of a 1992 LT1 aluminum stock head. thanks in advance!!!
Im confused I searched the net and some sites say is 58cc others 54cc which one is the right one I need to know before I order my head gaskets to determine my compression ratio. Im going insane

I believe LT1's are 54cc ; the L98's were 58cc
From another site;
54cc. Chevrolet will call that a 58cc chamber volume for figuring compression with pistons because GM head gaskets are approx the same gasket thickness as a felpro which typically runs about .035 thick for an aluminum head gasket. .035 thick for a 4inch bore adds around 4cc. So actual chamber volume above the deck of the block would be 58cc.
