Comp Cams 4705 Spring Locators
I'm currently using the stock LTx valve spring seats/locators with my Comp Cams 918 valve springs. I would like to switch to Comp's 4705 hardened steel locators. But, Comp's locators are .060 thick, which wouldn't work with my heads and the recommended installed heigth. Any thoughts on machining them down to .030?

OK, here's another question. What is the thickness of the stock LTx valve spring seats? I just may be able to use the Comp locators. I wasn't taking into consideration the thickness of the stock seats.
