Ok i posted something about this before, but my car had the lowering bolts installed before i bought it.. one side shows like 19 threads the other shows 1 thread and it has no cotter pin.. its kinda scary.. so i was wondering what do i need to do to fix this?
if i tighten up the one side it will raise that side correct? cause as it sits not its level... do i need new springs and then readjust the bolts?
It should have a cotter pin like the other side. Probably why it came loose. Tighten up the bolt to even it with the other, and see how it sits. You don't want that nut to come off on you while you're driving. If it does, that corner of the car will drop down, your spring will hang, and parts will be rubbing.
there are no cotter pin holes. but i will try to tighten it up to the other side and see what happens.. i was another 1/4" lowered but i dont know what else to do to get it down
just looked and i thought one side did have the cotter pin but i was wrong.
the car is level. but i want it about a 1/4"-1/2" lower just in the rear.. how can i do that? any easy thing to do or ?
If you have 19 threads showing its easy, if you only have one thread you can lower it using that bolt. You can get longer bolts, or move some of the spring perch shims from on top of the spring to underneath the spring IOT raise the mounting of the spring (which will lower the rear of the car)
