Correct. C4s painted one color will have the two digit number followed by the letter U.
If your `86 had a red upper and a yellow lower two-tone paint job, the RPO sticker would have 81U and 35L listed on it.
81 is not the actual paint code, but a quick reference code. WA-8774 is the actual paint code for Bright Red.
