The best bang for your buck are the Hooker headers. You can use their y-pipe also. We have been selling a few sets a week lately!!! I have another two sets on the way to the shop. I have y-pipes in stock.
Let me know if I can help. :)
I used the Hooker Super comps on my 91. Also bought the Y pipe. Cost is about $450 and you will need a lift to install them or about $350 for labor for an install. I had mine installed. I believe you want part # 2150 it will fit all emissions, Good luck, I think you will love the sound.
hookers #2149 w/ emission plumbing&coated (got em on mine),# 2150 "no" emissions& coating, got the hooker new&improved y- pipe, sent it back (auto tranny)they still didnt correct the fit problem , it "might" work on manual trans., had to use stock y-pipe& reducers, hookers fit great. :chevy
I second Mackeyred on the TPIS, did them in my garage without more than 18" off the floor and in about 4 hours. Good quality, most plugs are easy to get to except #5, it's pretty close, get a short plug.
Mark,
That engine is absolutely awesome looking. Definitely one of the best I have ever seen on a C4. Great work! I just thought I'd throw that attaboy yer way. Is the blue hose on the passenger side a Goodyear High Miler lower radiator hose?
Very nice work on the motor! Looks like alot of work. What heads are you running? I'd love to know what you plan on using as air induciton in front of the throttle body. Are you plannign on usign the stock radiator?
Well yeah it's not as chromey looking as it appears, the camera kinda adds to the brightness. Yeah it's a higher miler, the bottom hose is kinda tough to go with stainless tubing, clearance issues. The radiator is a Griffen, the AC condenser has been removed, I also added an Oil Cooler.
The air induction is still in the works, I have the stock option but would mean cutting my hood. My plan is to use the K&N filter on the Holley and cut the duct work in my 84 hood to dump air right in front of it from the stock air induction for the original crossfire hood. Eng Comp temps may be too high for this, I will experiment with it and see how it goes.
