advice needed please.
Trying to make a decision here.I'm running on an airstrip with a marked quarter mile before taking it to the strip. 383 Lingenfelter 440+/- with as best as I can tell 3.54 rear. here's the problem.In third I'm getting 112/114 @5500 with some road left. I'm also dropping off the power band.If I shift it takes time and costs et's. I'm not expecting miracles as I think I'm getting close to being maxed out but was wondering what would be the result of going to a 2.59 rear? I would still be on the cam in third with no need to shift.With the 3000 stall converter launch wouldn't be significantly changed,second would hold a little longer and so on.Guru's opinions please.
