You should also get the support beam from a manual trans car if possible though I understand the automatic beam can be modified. If I spot any of the parts you need for sale I will send you a PM, best of luck.
If your concern is the driveshaft bolting up to the pinion yoke, from what I saw when I did my D36 to D44 conversion on my '92, the drivshaft U-Joints are all the same and will fit into any of the pinion yokes.
If your concern is to find out actual differences in pinion yokes, there is a difference between the early (pre '88) Dana 44 and late ('88 and up) Dana 44 pinion yokes. So, even though I didn't check, logic tells me the Dana 36 yoke is not the same as the Dana 44 yoke.
I rebuilt an early Dana 44 (because I wanted 3.07 gears for my A4) and had to buy a new pinion yoke because of seal wear.
That yoke had to be for an early Dana 44 to work, a late Dana 44 was not the same.
If you are talking about the driveshaft front yoke for an A4 fitting on a M6 driveshaft, yes it will fit.
I put my A4 front driveshaft yoke on a 6 speed driveshaft and used it for my Dana 44 conversion.
