Default Could an LT1 shortblock be used in an 89?

Basically, I'd be using a custom grind cam (230/230 0.560") and a SR and am currently looking towards the AFR 195 Eliminators.

Would an LT1 shortblock work without issue / much fabrication?

What would the difference be? I have the SR, and still have to buy the cam and heads. Would I need to buy LT1 specific heads to use on the aforementioned shortblock?

Not w/o a lot of work.

LT1/4's are reversed cooled, with a engine driven waterpump and a optical distributor up front.

AFR makes heads for your car, and an LT1 intake will work, but it would need to be modified.
