L98 rocker arms
GMPP can be found at:Also, you can typically borrow spring compressors and other automotive specialty tools at your local parts store (fanchises, mostly). This will save you a lot of moneys you can use for the parts and maybe educational materials; like a full set of build manuals, etc.
Also, as for one of the best places to go if you need shop space, lifts, tools, or just good-ole-boys willing to help; try the Hobby Shop on base. You of course need to either be in the military, government, or defense contracting, or at least know someone who is that can get you on base. Their facilities are usually fantastic; most of the one's I use employ snapon tools and more different types of lifts than I can name.
And finally, there's nothing better for me than seeing young guys wishing to roll-up their sleeves and learn about cars and even hot rodding; so here's my advice: Keep the attitude that if man made it, you can fix it! For most of going to school for this stuff isn't an option as we're on different career paths; but hands-on experience is a very close runner-up. So if at all possible, latch onto someone with that knowledge and/or experience and learn what you can. Otherwise, just have a backup for when your ride is down for extended periods of time and jump in with both hands and a possitive attitude!
Good Luck, Buddy!
And may God Bless!
Peace!
