C5 brake conversion for 85
RockAuto has Rotors for $21.00 each, with shipping = $54 total
Thanks CorvetteKid for the mount bracket info, (archives) , gonna make these since the 85-87 is so incredibly simple,, please note the 88-96 is a bit more tricky, I would buy these if I needed them, no doubt.
Looks like the Bolts are Grade 8,,,,14mm X 2mm X 47mm long and cost @ $2.00 each. I already have new SS braided lines
Looks like the cost of the C4-C5 conversion can be had for a reasonable overall cost

Once you have these on, you won't know how you drove without them. I would suggest the DRM bias spring as well. BTW, I have a bunch of the Allen cap bolts and nuts for the adapter brackets. In fact, I'm getting ready to do this mod again on my ZR-1.
If you want to gt rid of some bolts and nuts, send me a PM with a cost and I will send you some cash!

You are right slowing down quick from 116mph on a short drag strip made me queasy!

Also, a pair of C5 Rotors from Rock Auto,,,,
and the C5 Calipers arrived today, gonna paint them this weekend!
No left/right designation on the Calipers or Rotors but I assume that the brake line inlet goes toward the top of the car on the Calipers. I have not made the Conversion brackets yet, the CRS steel will arrive tomorrow.
If anyone needs pics or measurements etc let me know, I probably wont put these on until Saturday / September 1st.
Are those C5 or C6 calipers? They don't look like the ones I have which have multiple fins.
I believe it won't make a difference as long as you have the right butment brackets. I had originally bought standard C6
rotors but Sports Brakes insisted that I needed the C5 rotors instead. Didn't know there was a diff or that they could not be intermngled with diff gen parts.
Jeff,
BTW, ordered the Hawk Pads from Summit last night. Thanks.

And those calipers are the C5 version. Apparently there was a casting variation. The C6 "Corvette" logo is a lot different. I'll throw up a pic tonight of one I refinished.
