For slightly more (than $1200), you can buy an intake that fits the car, and gets better performance without having to be welded and ported.
That would be the Miniram BTW.
You should check out my forum at TGO, lots of discussion on HSR, Miniram, converted LT1, and so on - and we have lots of Vette folks such as LD85 with his HSR if your determined on that route.
I ran a similar setup - slp runners, siamese plenum, fully ported, etc. Ran 110mph. Swapped to a singleplane manifold, WITH NO ADDITIONAL MODS. Ran 119-120mph. (in the 1/4).

hey joe,
do you have any photos of your intake setup? i thinking of doing a single plane on mine aswell!

I ran a few different setups...
Here is a singleplane manifold I made out of a carb manifold, with a vortec L31 throttle body, iron heads, 8.9:1 compression, 10psi Ugly but
this one went 120mph every pass in the 1/4
I had a shot of the singleplane with the blower, and an intercooler, but it was slower than w/out the intercooler. The extra spark advance didn't make up for how much loss the 50 miles of piping and intercooler had. It wouldn't make more than 6psi boost.
