And to think that I let you do this to yourself, Jeff! I wish you luck. Of course, it was much easier taking the car apart. Here is a pic. I know with your expertise it will look like new again!
I came close to that point in my interior restoration. Only a few more weekend days and I'll have it all back together. I had torn it all apart over the past year, and was surprised how well it all went back together. It just seemed obvious where each connector went, each screw went, etc. - well, there is still one wire that I don't know what it goes to (I think it was unconnected when I disassembled everything - maybe left over from the original BOSE installation that had been ripped out), and a handful of screws (too many of them anyhow).
I haven't been able to update my Web site (below) with recent reassembly photos because the CorvetteForum Home Page editing has been dead for days. But if you need encouragement that it does all go back together, check my web site in a few days.
So that's why you won't be driving the Vette to Vettefest. :) Good luck with the new dash. No one will be able to tell the year of your car for sure now.
Looks like there is some room to hide a nitrous bottle in that open area on the passenger side of the dash........Who needs a glove box or airbag anyway....:D;)
So......Jeff,
I guess the Keys and the Title will be the only things left original on this car.:D
You are going to drive the “numbers matching” Corvette Guys Nuts!
I can’t wait to see the car after it is finished. Good Luck!
Looks good, just throw a steering wheel on and be done with it.
What do you need fancy things like a dash for in a race car anyway ?
:D
Seriously looks like it's coming along pretty good, I can't wait to see it when it's done.

Actually I replaced the Ignition Cylinder when I swapped the trans.. I wanted the swithc with the Button to keep the factory appearance. But the Door key is Original :D
I am also keeping the 89 steering column and wheel. I kind of like the Telescoping feature
This means you needed to change all of your wiring harnesses correct? To include the dash, power seats, and the wires along the transmission tunnel ?
If ao I will take them off your hands
I just emailed you about this and the a/c control..
just get back to me when you can....
Thanks
jp

JP,
I will check your email and respond tonight. As for the Harness.. there are a few connectors missing since I needed to do some custom woring to mate the new dash harness but otherwise if you still want it we can figure out a price. What else do you need? I have the same red interior as you..
