Well my timing chain/gear repair has turned into a full blown rebuild this afternoon. I decided this will be just as good as any to really learn the ins and outs of a Chevy 350.
I am planning on removing everything down to the heads manana.
This will be my first sub-carb excursion on anything besides a bike, wish me luck.
Also decided to put some headers on it. It's got flowmasters from the cat back. So another $350 or so to get the whole system flowing smoothly is a small price to pay I guess.
Two more questions. I broke the gasket that goes on the bottom of the brake reservoir. Can I order these through Autozone? If not, who is the best source for these type parts?
Also, how do I shift into the upper gears? The car is supposed to be a 4+3 transmission, but I haven't the foggiest how to use to OD gears.
Thanks!
Joe
I am just asking how to shift into the upper gears. The transmission is a 4+3 transmission as I understand it. Is it an automatic shift into the gears? What does 4+3 mean? Sorry guess I wasn't clear.
