DTC 41 PCM Serial Data Circuit
1992 LT1, 6 Speed, 159k miles. I went out to drive the car home slowly because of my mistake of overfilling the crankcase and it would not start. Acted like no gas. Checked for codes and got code 41 in the number 1 set and Err in the number 4 set.
Is this a coincince with the oil overfill?
Drained the oil to correct level, still no start.
DTC 41 in the manual says loss of communications...
Before calling the tow truck I tried disconnecting all 4 connectors to the ECM, reconnected and it started and drove home fine. After getting home tried to start in driveway and no start again! Code 41 again.
Any help or experience with this problem?

I don't have a book for your car but it sounds like you should verify if you are infact getting communictions / serial data oscillations from the ECM when the car won't start. Hook up a probe/volt meter to the wire and ensure the voltage oscillates high then low continuously.
Good luck!
