Default Intake.......which one for my 91??

have a small leak at the back of my intake........need to fix it. While its off....why put it back on????

HE HE...........I know it chokes the heck oout of my L-98. What is the best bang for the buck in aftermarket intakes? I am most likely going to put on high flow runners also. Thinking SLP.

Whats your thoughts??

Thanks in advance

I like your thinking....Hey while that plenum is off you might as well go with the super ram plenum and runner kit. Anyway I like my accel superram base. Of course the plenum and runners really compliment it but Lpe sells large tube runners that will work with the stock plenum too.

I too would suggest the LPE/Accel SuperRam plenum and runner kit with the LPE/Accel base. It makes a very good street/strip setup. Still has the torquey feeling of a tuned port but will actually rev past 4700 rpm's.

Super Ram if you want drivibility, Miniram if you want a track monster. Im buying a superram when i can afford to

I just put on an edelbrock "hi flo" TPI lower base last week. It does appear slightly bigger in the interior but not likely than the Accel. Anyways, I looked at http://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/fa...n.shtml#engine and that was some help. I don't know how true it is. Anyways my Ed has noticably smaller EGR passage releifs than the stock one in the intake tract. Not getting any codes but the motor runs rough lately. Not quite sure if it's related as I am doing some other stuff at the same time. Am going to a chip burner/tuner guy so he can figure it out. BTW the Ed was the least $ of all of them, so that's why I got it. Good luck, do research and let us know your decision!

Take EVERYTHING you read at Thirdgen.org with a grain of salt. Most of the "experts" have 15 second cars. I have seen both the Accel and Edelbrock bases. I own an Accel base. The Accel has bigger ports than the Edelbrock does stock. If you want to stick with a long runner combo, get the Accel base and a set of SLP runners. Then have the SLP runners cleaned up because it's a pretty dirty casting. I sold mine when I got my SuperRam. If $ isn't really a concern get a set of the ASM semi-siamese runners.

Thanks for all your input guys......... :yesnod:

I think I am leaning towards leaving my stock plenum on the car...an just doing the base and runners.

Will let you guys know how it goes!
