Default 90 electrical help

Installing new SPAL fans into '90 vert, the old fans had two wires one black and red wire and the other solid black. New fans have one black wire and one red. Do I connect the red and black wire to the red then black to black?
Not an electrician your help is appreciated.

Thanks

The BLK/RED wire from the old fans should be positive.

The red wire on the new fans should be positive. Check the diagram that came with your fans.

To confirm this, test the new fans by hooking them up temporarily as I stated and make sure they turn in the proper direction. If not, reverse the wiring.

If you hook it up wrong it will just run backward....no big deal.

Thanks to InHot for your clarification................

Removed the old fan housing, pretty simple operation the fit was great no cutting, only a little confusing on the electrical as they are not a direct connect for a '90. Lots of distance between the fans and engine, also installed a 180* thermostat while I was in there.
SPAL's claims are accurate in so much as how much air is pulled through the radiator WOW. Not impressed easily but these fans are great. Only 90* at 7:00 P.M. when we went for a test drive 185* to 190* the real test will be this week when the outside temps are between 105* and 112* projected.

Thanks for everyone's help.................
