Default 700R Transmission Question

Does the 700R Transmission in my 1994 Corvette coupe have an OEM sensor measuring the operating temperature of the transmission fluid and feeding this temperature information to the Corvette's computer? If there is such a sensor in the 700R tansmission and it detects a "too hot" fluid condition what is the action or non-action taken by the computer?
I realize this might be a couple of strange questions but then my transmission is doing some strange things that I can't figure out. Thanks for any information

Default 4L60E, not 700r4

First of all, 93 to 96 vettes have the 4L60E transmission ( the PCM controls the shift points ) and second, have you checked transmission fluid level ( check while the engine is running at operating temp and on level ground, the dipstick should read at the full mark). If you have too much or too little tranny fluid, it would probably cause your symptoms. Also check all tranny harness connectors for crudded or rusted pins or pins that have been pushed back.

The answer to your question is Yes for a 96. I can't speak for a 94.
Actions:
*TCC Sol Valve control (no apply).
*Shift quality (harsh).

Not totally true...93's have the 4L60 not the 4L60E...I have a 93 and it is NOT elctronically controlled..supposedly there are a very few, very late production year 93's that got the 4L60E...I have never seen, heard of, or spoken with one of these owners yet, however...most will tell you the 93's have the 700R4 which was simply renamed the 4L60 for that one year...

Ok fine, my bad. So then he definetly has the 4L60E since it's a 94, so what i posted should still apply.

If the car sees temps too high, it will not lock up and lose fourth gear.
