Lost 3rd & 4th gear

Everything was fine on saturday untill I went for a drive to the store. .. Then, all of a sudden, out of nowhere I lost 3rd & 4th gear
??? No warning, just wouldn't shift into either gear I have an 87' w/the 4+3 manual transmission . I noticed a few weeks ago that the slave cylinder is leaking so my 1st guess was that i might have ran outta fluid. Checked & it wasn't even low . . . The master has been recently replaced so I'm pretty sure its good. ??????

While you're under there, if the linkage is on, check to see if moving the lever engages the gears.
I just lost 1st and 2nd gears because the connector to the shift fork broke. Just getting it all back together now.
