my problem everytime, turn off the car ,i have to wait about 2 or 3 hours then will start again.engine cranks but won't start and run..check no code..i do have spark.i don't think there is a gas giong to engine.. so pls anyone tell me what my next step..thanks
Lots of things could be causing that. Near the top of that list are bad optispark and leaking injectors.
If you have access to a fuel pressure guage, run the engine til warm. Turn it off and attach the guage. Prime the system. Write the pressure down. Turn the key off. Write the pressure down every 5 minutes. If it drops more than ~1#/minute, you may have leaking injectors that are flooding the engine.
Will it start if you hold the pedal all the way down and turn it over?
Check the resistance of your injectors when the engine is cold. Spec is 16.5 +/- .3 ohms and give us your readings. This is a simple, easy test for shorted turns in the injector coils.
Yep, the 91 has the ole HEI distrubitor. If you have spark all the time hot or cold, check the fuel pressure. If you are getting fuel pressure then test the injector coils with an ohm meter. Let us know what you find.
Spray some ether into...past the throttle body and see if she'll start or at least fire. If it fires up or tries to fire....you've got a fuel delivery problem.
If no firing at all you've got a spark problem of some type.
