"Service Engine soon" ..MAF and O2 sensors no help
Have a "Service engline soon" light which comes on and off. Received trouble codes for MAF and upstream O2 sensors. Replaced both. Car is still doing same thing which is once it is warmed up ( no systoms at all for the first 20 minutes of driving) my idle is jumping between 1 and 2 when stopped and when driving its bucks on me. Any feedback would be greatly welcomed.
You need to follow the diagnostic chart in the FSM, a stored code does NOT indicate the sensor or device associated with it is defective. Codes are a guide for diagnosing various circuits.

Steve,
You need to fill in your profile on your car or at least tell the Forum what year car you have. Nobody can offer you any real accurate advice if we don’t know what we are talking about. It makes a big difference. Be smart, do both.
Hey
I had a similar problem where I changed the O2 sensor and still had problems. But one thing I had noticed was the connections had oil on them so I went back under and cleaned all O2 sensor connections and wiring around sensor and Car is running great now and not throwing any codes anymore.
You have 2 symtoms of a bad opti. Changing idle and bucking are 2 that I had with my 94 when warmed up. The thing that bothers me is the codes you are having for they are not usually part of the typical scenario. There is a wide variety of symtoms for a defective opti, maybe your PCM just reacts a little differently.
Just keep the opti in mind but check all the other typical things. Just take a look at fuel pressure, arking wires, IAC motor and carbon build up in the intake of the MAF. You can check almost every sensor with an ohm meter as I did, but in my case I found nothing.
I finally changed the opti and it corrected all my ills.
