I use crapy softer shock (VFR brand from Mid America or Ecklers ~ I don't remember which) the work great and the fillings stay in my teeth over the bumps in the road. At the track I remove the rear shocks.

You'll get lots of opinions, but for a driver that won't see much auto cross or road race time, the KYB's are hard to beat for the money.

The Koni yellows are probably the best all around shock for these cars, but they are expensive.

If you have the FX3 suspension, Bilstein can/will rebuild the stock shocks for a pretty modest price (less than $100 a shock) and they'll set the valving to what ever you want.

Good luck, let us know what you decide to do; and let us know how you like your choice.

I agree, I think most people are happy with the KYBs. For the money they are pretty good.

I've got about 30000 miles on a set of KYB's. Good bang for the buck.

KONI come with a lifetime garrentee, and they are damn good shocks. Depends what you want to do with the car and how you want it to handle.
