Help with water pump coupler

1st post. I have the water pump off of my 94 LT1 & I cannot get the coupler off. Could someone please tell me how it comes off. Thanks

It is supposed to just slide off the splines, but it is probably rusted in place.
See if you can use a stout screwdriver to pry it off.

When I install mine, I always put grease on both ends first hoping to prevent this problem.
Also, make sure to use the O-rings on both splines to attempt to prevent moisture intrusion.
