Default Bigger TB = more power?

I remember reading somewhere (I think it was at camaroz28.com's thirdgen section) that a bigger throttle body would actually hurt low end power.
True or untrue?

It depends on your motor. Stock motors can't turn fast enough to use the extra airflow from a larger throttle body. The result is you are sucking as much air as the engine possibly can by like 75% throttle, making the last 25% of the pedal useless.

A stock or mildly modified motor can usually go to a 52mm and it will help performance. It takes a more serious mods to really be able to take advantage of a 58mm.

Without touching anything else, yeah it'll mess it up. You will end up cutting down on the velocity of the air going into the plenum, killing torque.
