LT1 crate motor - Good source?
I've been on the Scoggins Dickie and Superior sites, and they have original GM issue long blocks... and they are PRICEY! Over $4k.
Looking for something along the lines of the ZZ4 but LT1 style. ?

GM doesn't offer one as far as I know, so look elsewhere.

Looking for something more stock. I'm surprised that there's not much coming to the surface on this...

I was surprised as well. Trying to build a nice high dollar is frustrating when you have to start with a used block. I wish stupid gm would make/sell standard LTx blocks or even aluminum or big bore versions !

So are you searching for a fresh/new re-build of a complete LT1 engine?
