One of my headlights will no stay flipped or fip full and then go half flipped? It is only the PSide light. if i turn the system off an on it will usally come back but not for long. Its a 1989 conv.
If your Headlight motor is working then it's the small bushings between the motor and the actual headlight assy. They are small round bushings about the size of a chickpea (plastic) $10 bucks for 3 www.contemporarycorvette.com if that don't work contemporary corvette is in Bristol, Pa. and tell them you need the bushings to fix the headlight. They will know what your talking about. Also it takes a whole 10 min. to fix Pipe

I have a 89 model and HAD the same problem with the passenger side head light. I fought this problem for months and did not rebuild the motor unit. Some time in the past, I had removed the coolant tank and the hose clips that secures the overflow hose to the frame. It appears that I did not re-install the two hose clips properly and the light was hitting and sticking on one of the clips. I was at a car show recently and took a photo of the proper location of the clips. I moved the clips to the location in the photo and problem solved. If you want a copy of this photo, send me an email to samlam@charter.net.
Calderone sometimes they will flip correctly but if you took it apart the bushings will crumble like cookies in your hand. Like I said they are an easy fix plus $10 bucks Pipe
