crazy code

anybody know what 3 / 6 flashes mean coming out of an 86 ecm. cant find this code in any of my books.

666? Means the devil has taken over the car. Maybe you should explain better. There is no code "6". All codes flash 3 times before the ECM moves on to the next code. Could this really be a code 36?

I'm still not sure what you are saying. "THREE slight pause then SIX flashes"??? Do you get three flashes, then a pause and then six more flashes? Does it do that two more times and than move on to another code, 12, hopefully? If so, that is code 36, the MAF burn off circuit. If I am correct, you can now move on to the chart in your FSM to trouble shoot for a code 36.
