The age old question: How much are you willing to spend? Corbeau makes a very nice seat, upper end of the price range.

Default the whole story

currently have a set of the same seats as summit's in my vette, got mine from peep boys (no longer on display there, still sell em?)

frames are tubular steel, far superior to oem vette fiberglass...better inner spring support than oem...plastic covers are heavy gauge, stitching is acceptable/pretty but seam design looks mediocre (time will tell)...adjusting tracks are marginal material/design...front of lower assy was too wide to fit the vette, had an upholstery guy r+r the lower covers($60) and a welding shop cut the front upper tubes (base tube width is ok) and rotate/reweld to narrow the fronts 2.5'' total ($100)...recline ***** stuck out too far at rear of seat -- removed **** from each seat one side entirely (5 min hacksaw job) and removed plastic cover from steel core on other side (breaks one retainer lug in the cover when removed but repairable with epoxy, if ever)

comfort is good during ''enthusiastic'' driving...fair during cruise due to padding not being in the ''best'' places for relaxed driving ''slouch''...doubt that these would be acceptable for long ride (but use my buick roaddie for those anyway).

summary: rave reviews from spectators...but gonna remove em and replace with oem seats or circle track 'real' race seats as soon as i decide which path--sublime comfort (oem vette seats) or ''butt glued-in'' (welded aluminum race bucket)

APC went out of business.

I tried some on mine last year, made the adapters to bolt to the floor and use the seat sliders. The seats were too tall. My head woulda been 3" out of the targa top. Oh well.

A lot more pics here: http://www.mowhineracing.com

The car was a totally stock, 1 owner LT4 when I bought it. Sold a lot of the interior here on CorvetteForum; still have a few things laying around if you need some tan interior parts.

We use the the Cobra Monaco S along with alot of our fellow racers. The seat seems pretty comfy once your in it. Good price too. FAST is where I got mine and they were the least expensive on the shipping.http://www.fastraceproducts.com/page...GY/cobramonaco

LOL no just the small pad that comes with the seat! They are the Forza seats and I bought them from some racers website that I found on here. It was scca something, I would have to look at the packing slip when i get home. They were 200 each and i bough the sloders for 60 bucks.

HONEST they are not bad to ride in. I was amazed myself.

Thanks, I'll take a look around for them. I have held off putting some in because they look like they would be a PITA for a long street drive. How light were they?

Not bad at all. It should be on the packing slip also. When i get off work at 11 I will dig it out of my pile of paperwork and post the webpage and the weight. They also had free shipping when i bought them.

OK for those who asked!

I purchased the seats from SOLORACER.COM

They are the Forza #CRB2910 and cost me $220 with free shipping in March

They weigh 19 lbs.
