Default Pulled the trigger on LE2 Heads

Well, I finally got off my lard and actually placed the deposit and placed my order with Elliot Port Works. My stock heads arrived in Lloyd's shop this past Monday. I have talked with him quite a few times this week and we have ironed out a plan. I decided on the LE2 heads and one of his custom grind emissions cams by Bret Bauer and Comp Cams. I'm moving forward, slowly but surely. Hopefully by next spring I'll have my car running again!! All I'm doing now is cleaning up the engine bay and under the car. doing some other little details. I guess I have at least 4-6 weeks for the heads to get back. Lloyd said he'd ship me the cam when it is done so I can get the cam back in and button up the front cover and oil pan. That will be a relief.

Good Luck with your Project... post some results when your done... I am thinking about doing the same thing. I'm on the fence about either a mild stroker or a LE2 or 3 setup.

I really don't think I'll be turning a key until early spring, but you never can tell., and I understand about being on the fence - It's a lot of decisions to make when you are the person footing the bill and doing the work.
Good Luck

I didn't think I will have the $$$ till, fall next year, maybe even winter.... not to mention the 100 other things the car needs. hopefully, this upcoming spring I am going to have it repainted (fingers crossed). Hoping to do most of the work myself, like you said $$ are tight,

I know what you mean I was looking at doing this in the spring but I bought a pair of jet ski's instead. Maybe next year. I realy want the bottom end stroked too.

Looking forward to hearing the results.

A really good friend of mine had LE 2 heads on 236/242 cam'd 383. That thing rocked hard! He ended up sliding off the road in the rain on bald tires and messed up his frame. I ended up buying the shortblock but the heads had already been sold......solid pieces.

Yeh, I'm pretty psyched. The CamaroZ28 Forum has litterally hundreds of posts regarding Lloyd and his work. Truly incredible following.

I just packed up my intake tonight and sending it off to him in the morning, he will match it up to the heads.

What kind of cost is involved with this? Is there a website with some pricing?
