89' Headlight assembly removal ?

I need to replace the bushings in the headlight motors. I've been informed it's easier to remove the entire lamp assembly then remove the motors. How many bolts need to be removed to take the unit out. Will the unit come out easily when the bolts are removed? Also, the two wire harness is attached to the car. Is there a trick to detaching the harness from the mount? Any help would be appreciated.

There are also tech tips on this forum, I did mine by removing the entire assembly. Added info on the tips page for my 88.
