please bear with me- i'm new at this-i have a 94 vette with 133000 miles-a few months ago it started to die on me-sometimes at a stop light or at speed-i wait 3 minutes and it starts and i move on-sometimes for a mile-sometimes for a week before it happens again-if i try to start it before 3 minutes it just cranks-no fire--it has never not started--recently replaced fuel pump-didn't help-parts stores or techs have never heard of this-check engine light not on so diagnostic can't be done--E mail me at plb1polo2@yahoo.com thanks
If you want a real answer you can't just pop in, give us an e-mail address, and skip town... if the information you gave above is all you're giving to anyone, it's no wonder they're unable to give you an answer. So to give us the information we need you'll have to perform a few tests to help narrow the problem down, and then get back to us with the results so we can interpret them and hopefully figure out what's wrong. These tests are stuff like:
-buying a cheap fuel pressure gauge and hooking it to your fuel rail, and watching what the pressure does during the no-start condition
-buying a cheap spark indicator and checking spark at all the wires
-unplugging the PCM sensors one at a time and seeing if the problem goes away
-seeing if the no-start problem goes away when the belt is off (this was the case for me)
From the sound of your post it sounds like you won't be reading this or any replies to this thread, but if you do, use the search feature to find out what sort of diagnostic tests you can use to help narrow down the problem, and once you have the results that might be enough information for someone to help you.
