Default 4+3 tranny

I have an 84 vette with 4+3 manual trans. I am sending my dash out for repair. Of course with out the dash cant get a temp signal to engage overdrive. I need to keep driving my grandmother to church, my only other option is 83 grand prix with 396 big block at 10 mpg down hill. I was wanting to know if anybody knows if / what wires can be jumped at the dash harnesses in order to allow the overdrive to engage when selected. I would like to do it in some way like this so I can still use my overdrive button, but worse case to do it where the overdrive is constantly set to engage, of course in this case I would treat her like a virgin bride.
Thanks for your time

This should help:

But the temp sender for the ECM that enables OD does not go through the cluster. Speed does so you'll most likely set a code for VSS, but the OD should work without the cluster and without doing anything to the wiring.
