I don't remember, but I do remember on their website you can select a cam and then they will recomend a spring. It will show specs and part numbers. Try that.

Depends on what rockers you are running.

Actually the 10308 is the PN to a kit with PN 99893 Dual springs, Retainers, spring seats and valve locks.

http://www.cranecams.com/?show=brows...Number=10308-1

PN 99893 Springs set up at 1.850 (which is +.100 tall compared to stock), they coil bind at 1.080. Assuming .060 before coil bind they will safely go to .710 MAX lift.

http://www.cranecams.com/index.php?s...&lvl=3&prt=123

IMO if your over .600 lift these springs are a very good choice. If your under .600 lift you better have very light retainers and locks to get as much weight as you can off the spring. "Spring surge" could be a problem because of all the free travel that would be left in the spring at lifts under .600.

hmm, well the max lift on the cam is .540 so what would be a good spring to go with?

Also, with stock valves/seats you will be lucky to get a 1.750 installed height. But, you can use a +.050 lock to get 1.80. However, then you will need non self-aligning rockers/hardened push rods/push rod guides.

If your only going .540 lift, the Comp 986-16 sets up at 1.750 (122lbs) and coil binds at 1.150. Assuming .060 for coil bind they will go .540 lift on the nose.

Summit list all the associated parts (Retainers, Locks Spring Seats ect.)on their website also.

My AFR heads have Crane 99893-16 springs with Comp 730-16 retainers and I am running the CC-306 and have zero problems with this setup keep in mind with 1.6 Rockers you will be at .576 lift so dont spec your springs to .540 unless you plan onstaying with 1.5 rockers. It looks like Comp recomends the Behive spring P/N 26918-16 with a speced max lift of .600

yea well I ended up going with the PAC behive spring. Same as the GOOD 918. Also ordered the locks and retainers. I hope I can still use the stock rockers since the cash supply is getting just a little thin.

Comp recommends '987 for the 306 cam. Why wouldn't you just use what is recommended?

when I got the cam on the card it said to use the 918 but since the 918 has had alot of bad springs now for a while I went with the PAC spring. They used to be the supplier for the 918

Oh is it because of the slot in the rocker not being long enough?
