95 Coupe - drove it to work this morning no problems. I go out to start it to go get lunch - turn the key and nothing, I got lights, bells and radio and 12.4 volts showing when I go to the digital display. I am NOT getting the click, click click you normally get when you have a drained battery - I just get nothing at all? The starter is about 6 months old, I did have to replace that. Am I having starter issues again already?
What response do you get from the car when the resistor in the key goes screwy (my sisters pontiac did this to her once). Hell I guess I am now going to have to call AAA to haul this thing home!
Im guessing VATS
Wait about 5 min wipe off the little chip on the key or use the spare and try again
Thanks - the spare is at home and I am at work - (65miles between me and the spare at the moment). Waited - fumed and went back out to the car and she fired up. I'm figuring VATS or over-heated solenoid on the starter? If it's the starter that's really gonna **** me off, course I don't need a screwed up VATS either
