Default Stupid newbie question!

Anyone ever put l98 heads on a LT1? Is it at all possible? The reason I ask , cause my cousin has a pair of trick flow alum. heads ,23 deg, 195's ,that are required to fit 87 to 91 (non Lt1 small block). He said he would sell them to me for cheap. anyone have any idea? My cuz told me that he thinks the only difference is the intake manifold bolt up. Could I get a custom intake manifold? But theres got to be more of a difference, maybe? I know the Lt1 heads reverse cool, but is it possibe to make this work? I would like to use them If i could. Any input would be awesome.

No, regular SBC heads won't fit on an LT1. The cooling setup is totally different.

The reverse flow cooling is one of the things that prevents this.

They won't work. You need LT1 compatible heads. If he is interested in selling them let me know all the details and the price, I'd be interested. Email dan0617@msn.com
