I just ordered the BBP VORTEX. ZIP sucks. Got questions.
Hello guys, Well I just received my purchase of the BBP Vortex rammer. Let me tell you my issue with ZIP.(The issue could be on the Breathless performance side- I am not sure yet)
Well the template that was shipped with my product was used (it had masking tape and ink outline marks and shroud shavings !) this did not disturb me as much as the lack of instructions.
I have to admit that the parts look new and all the bolts seem to be in the package. MY QUESTION IS did they send me the NEW UPDATED AIR FUNNEL???
How can I TELL. IS THE LIP ON THE SECTION THAT GOES TO THE RUBBER AIR FLOW HOUSING SUPPOSE TO BE FLARED OUT???

GREAT THEN I HAVE THE NEWEST ONE. My "DOES" Flare out on the exit end. This one does not. THANKSSSSSSS!!!! I will install it today. My corvette brothers rock. Thanks for the pic man. )Thanks JEFF!

I'm not real keen on the BPP Vortex unit. Really cheap components. They sent me a free reinforcement kit but surprisingly, mine hasn't collapsed on me yet. I did have to put another bolt along the top edge of the air box as it was breaking the seal against the radiator shroud. I may eventually go back to the old K&N w/open air filter lid. Hard to beat that combo, IMHO.

Well in Zip's defense the one time I was not happy with the quality of one of their C3 products they let me return it with absolutely no hassles and a quick refund. You might want to check the archives about the Breathless issue. It's been something of a hot button on the forum. :yesnod:

zip isn't a bad company, could just be supply. it's VERY common for parts to come with no instructions and it's for the dumbest reason. i also make & sell parts but if i send no instructions..if you kill yourself you can't sue me saying i told you to do it a certian way.

Hey gs633, mine has a gap in the same place, good idea?. Works well? I also think the parts are of cheap quality. My clear air box broke, though Ernie at BPP was cool about it and sent another one ASAP and for free.
