HELP - Starting problem - I'm confused
Car is a 95 auto. I have had no problems with it up until this point. I went outside to start the car and got absolutely nothing, nada, zip, zilch. All the lights were working so it was not a battery problem. I tried turing it several more times and still nothing. I go back inside to grab a flashlight, screwdriver, etc. and come back out, turn the key and boom it starts. This was a couple of days ago and I have had no problems since. What do you guys think? Starter? Solenoid? Thanks in advance for any help
Also, I have had no other power or engine problems such as missing or anything like that

When you went back in the house to get the screwdriver and flashlight - How much time did it take you to go back out to your car?????
5 Min
10 Min
15 Min
20 Min
etc.....
Also, do you have a security pellet on your ignition key - I'm not sure if the 95 has a VATS system or not.

Re: HELP - Starting problem - I'm confused (Husker Vette)
It was only about 5 minutes to get in and back out. Also, I do have the security chip on my key. It has now been almost a week and the problem has not come up again......

I would recommend cleaning the contacts on your chip. This happened to my on my '92. I took a peice of paper and ran it across the contacts and all was good.
