i am getting a 1992 corvette and was looking at some performance parts. I have found the SLP PerformancePac (1500) and was wondering if it is worth the buck. I was also wondering about pacesetter headers i have heard of them but was wondering if they are any good. If not what are the best for the buck? thanks
I have the Pacesetter headers on my '94 and love them. Have a very pleasant sound and look good after a year. They have a full length flange for all 4 tubes and were almost perfectly flat.
Tried 2 sets of Hookers and could not get them to seal on the heads or the collectors. Hookers have individual flanges for each tube and they were welded very poorly and not flat at all.
I suggest whatever you use, take them to a machine shop and have the flanges put on a flatbed sander and grind them until they are flat and you will not have any problems with sealing. Well worth the money.
EDIT: The Air tube fittings are centered between the center tubes and do not require you to modify the pipes for the offset on the Hookers.

Reason: Added the air tube fittings are centered.
