engin problem on 88
i noticed that my cars engin was running a little funny first it will idle funny like a it revs up and down a little and when i get on the throtle when i am driveing at high rpms i get a knocking sound and i get the check engin light but if i drive it normal no knock and no check engin light help dont want to mess my car up :confused: :sad:

Check the relays to the MAF sensor (two behind the battery), should read 14 Ohms, if not replace, they are only about ten bucks. Then clean the Throttle Body and IAC.
I had the exact same symptoms on my 88 and that did the trick!
