Will the TPMS that I have on my original 17" wheels work with an 18" wheel?

If I am not mistaken, the original TPMS system in your car is actually "band clamped" around the inner circumference of the rim. If that's the case, I don't believe you'd have enough extra material to clamp it around the extra diameter.....

I'll dig around the shop to see if I can find anything to confirm.... but don't wait on me as OEM C4 TPMS are like hens teeth...
